The University of Cape Coast has advised all of its prospective candidates who applied for various programs in the university for the 2015 academic year to debunk all information from persons claiming
to be staff of the University.
According to the school’s authorities, a notice has come to them of persons who are alleging to be from the school and are requesting of various sums of money form applicants to MTN mobile money numbers 0542888306 and 0247059841 (and others) in order to have corrections made to their applications to facilitate their admission into the University.
The university has used public platforms to inform all applicants that these messages are not from the University but purelythe work of fraudsters. Applicants are therefore advised to disregard them. Applicants admitted into various programmes of the University are advised to follow the instructions given in their admission letters.
