Who is a systems designer and what do they do? The systems designer ‘s job is to design, test and activate computer systems for electronic data processing and transfer, supporting process control in various application regions. The job title, systems analyst be used quite variably for a range of jobs in different organisations, and may overlap closely with that of system designer.
What are the activities of the systems designer  job? Analyses of user requirements and conditions, and the parameters within which the designed system should function, discussions with the users about the final output characteristics, clarification of problems or, if necessary, modifications of original requirements, design of system targets, concepts, structures and interconnections with already existing systems, or, if applicable, description of data structures, which the designed systems are to handle, creation of job specifications for programmers of the computing system who are to prepare separate system programs in the relevant programming languages, selection and purchase of already existing programs, user interfaces and hardware, installation of the created or purchased software in separate computer systems, verification of correct functioning and running of the system on real data sets received from the users and the resulting system repairs and optimisations, application of debugging/testing programs for the removal of errors, preparation of user and maintenance manuals as well as data-entry procedures, consultation with, and training of, clients, especially those who have difficulties in accepting the new work procedures, explaining the advantages of the new systems. Modifying and developing other potential systems according to the users’ needs.

What do you need to succeed? You should have completed a college training programme or, better, be a holder of a university degree related to information technology, be inventive and creative, accurate, patient and able to learn.
