Who are they and what do they do? The wardrobe master or mistress ensures the production and/or purchase of costumes and costume accessories for film and theatre actors.
What are the activities of the job? Orders and purchases costumes, etc. or has them made, for actors, and tries to reuse/alter or repair costumes from previous films or plays, which are at his/her disposal.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In film studios, theatres, and on location. Work outside of usual working hours must be expected.
What tools/equipment do they use? Mobile phones, textiles, various costumes and costume accessories, hand sewing equipment and similar accessories.
What do you need to succeed? You need apprentice training and aesthetic feeling.
