electrical equipment design engineer job

Who is an electrical equipment design engineer and what do they do? The electrical equipment designer conceives and designs various electro-technical equipment and details out parts of projects. This can be drawings of the complete final product (i.e. equipment for the production of electrical power, electrical drives of machines, control equipment) or for its parts.
What are the activities of the electrical equipment design engineer? The design drawings are supported by calculations; new designs of equipment or its parts are implemented only after verification through the calculation of all parameters, determination of suitable materials and checking with valid safety regulations and standards. S/he consults about problems with the engineers in research and development, with the chief design engineer and with the production technologist. S/he collaborates with the technical personnel involved in the realization of the designs as prototypes. After testing the designs in operation s/he makes the necessary revisions in the drawing documentation. S/he then turns over this documentation to those in charge of setting up the production.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In offices and related spaces, including drawing offices.
What tools/equipment do they use? The use of computers is now prevalent. The design drawings are made in CAD (computer-assisted design programmes) and printed on computerised plotters.
What do you need to succeed? You need to complete studies at any of the many electro-technical vocational schools or high schools or universities.
