In the field of electrical appliances and equipment, the inspection focuses on electric circuits/distribution and distribution systems, various sensors, regulators, security systems, fire alarms, airport security systems, etc. An inspector often specialises in a particular type of appliance or equipment. His/her task involves: inspecting the technical condition of appliances and equipment, pursuing controls and analyses according to technical norms, safety regulations and other technical requirements, issuing records and official certificates for the equipment inspected, completing the documentation prescribed by the respective organisation, coordinating and organising inspection activities in the respective organisation (the latter refers only to inspection managers).
Where is it done and under what conditions? In workshops, factories and buildings of all kinds, depending on the specialisation of the organisation where the inspector works, or on the type of customer who orders the inspection.
What tools/equipment do they use? Mainly measurement, scanning, testing and diagnostic devices and instruments, common hand tools, office equipment including computers.
What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed secondary education in the field of electrical engineering, taken a special exam for inspectors, have technical understanding, precision and reliability.
