Who is a choreographer and what do they do? The choreographer creates dances for film, theatre and television performances.
What are the activities of the choreographer? He/she selects dancers for particular roles, he/she discusses the role with the dancers, and directs rehearsals to achieve the desired interpretation.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In theatres. You will be expected to work outside of normal working hours.
What tools/equipment do they use? Scripts, charts, and musical scores.
What do you need to succeed? You need a university-level education in dance or a related artistic discipline, or a period of study at a school of dance, musical talent, organisational ability, creative ability, and the ability to deal with people.
