Who is a banking expect and what do they do? The tasks of the banking expert encompass a wide range of highly specialised banking activities including preparing proposals, consultation, giving advice and using financial expertise. A banking expert is usually employed by a bank, and usually reports to its top management. S/he may also work for the management of an investment fund, at the Ministry of Finance, or similar government institutions.
What are the activities of a banking expert? Creating the principles of a monetary and foreign exchange policy and tools for its implementation – creating concepts for the capital and financial markets, and the principles of currency and exchange policy – formulating the conclusions of banking policy – evaluation of the success of the bank in the economic and business sphere and in the sphere of investment banking — composing guidelines for various sections of the bank, for example for credit provision, for investment, etc. – analysing the developments on the stock exchange and other financial markets – lecturing and teaching.
Where is it done and under what conditions? The work environment includes offices and meeting rooms – a fairly comfortable work environment.
What tools/equipment do they use? Work is usually carried out using computer technology and regular office equipment.
What do you need to succeed? You need to have studied economics at university level, be able to make good and quick judgements, have the skill to put facts together and draw conclusions, react quickly and readily, use intuition, deal with people and learn continuously.
