Who is an artistic promotions manager and what do they do? The artistic promotions manager is responsible for organising concerts, variety shows and other artistic performances. The performances may include shows of artists in this country, as well as shows by those artists abroad or shows of foreign artists in this country.
What are the activities of an artistic promotions manager? Search for artists and/or their agents – negotiations with them regarding the content of their shows, financial terms and deadlines – seeking and organising facilities (cultural centers, concert halls, stadiums, etc.) – negotiation with the management of those facilities on rental terms relating to the relevant cultural events – conclusion of contracts with artists and organisers – arrangement of organisational services and other measures or hiring such services – ticket distribution – organisation of promotional activities, including printing of posters – preparation of financial calculations for any such event – negotiations with sponsors – monitoring compliance with the organisational and financial aspects of each event.
