Okwahu United coach Mohammed Gargo has stated that the recent suspension from the club was not surprising, and he will never regret if he leaves the club eventually.
Ahead of their crucial encounter against West African Football Academy (WAFA) in the MTN FA Cup, the Division One League side suspended Gargo indefinitely for vacating his post without permission.
In a letter dated 17th June 2016, signed by club CEO Francis Anom Boateng, the club directed the coach to step aside.
The under-fire coach, who spoke to Class Sports’ Desmond Decker on Saturday, June 18, indicated that the action of the club did not come as a shock to him, and he would take it in good faith if he is sacked from the coaching role.
“To me, I am not going to regret leaving Okwahu United because I know I am leaving with a good heart. I have played a couple of matches which I won 12, drew four, and lost only three,” he explained.
According to him, “The club has changed almost 13 coaches in the past 10 years, and that is evidence of the calibre of club it is. I prepared my club very well and left them in the hands of my assistant,” he added.
