SUMMARY OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
HND/DIPLOMA HOLDER
Applicants must hold at least HND 2nd Class (Lower Division) certificates in relevant programme, from recognized tertiary institutions. Candidates with equivalent qualifications/certificates can seek clarification from the Admissions Office. Working experience will be an added advantage.

SUMMARY OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
(i) SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS
a. SSSCE Candidates: Six Passes (A-D) in all subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and at least three (3) of the passes must be relevant to the area of specialization.
b. WASSCE Candidates: Six Passes (A1-D7) in all subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and must possess a minimum of C6 in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization.

(ii) GES / TEU APPLICANTS – (TECHNICAL & VOCATIONAL GRADUATES)
Applicants must have passes in all elective subjects plus passes in NABPTEX English, Mathematics and Science subjects.
(iii) GCE ‘A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS
Applicants must have five (5) G.C.E. ‘O’ Level passes in English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject plus two (2) passes in relevant subjects and three (2) ‘A’ Level passes.
NOTE: Candidates Awaiting Results May Apply.
(iv) MATURE APPLICANTS
- Candidates must be 25 years of age at the time of the submission of the application.
- Candidates must have at least four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes or four (4) G.C.E. ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics plus experience in relevant areas of study
- Candidates must pass a written examination in relevant subject area and an interview.
- Applicants for the School of Engineering with Technician I or II certificates but without English Language and Mathematics must also pass English Language and Mathematics Examinations administered by the Polytechnic
- Stenography and Senior Stenography
- GBC (General Business Certificate)
NB: In all cases, candidates will be expected to meet School/Departmental requirements.

MATURE CANDIDATES ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Mature Candidates Entrance Examinations and Interview will be held. Please come along with birth certificates.
NOTE: All mature candidates will be expected to pay an additional amount of GHc70.00 on or before the day of the entrance examination at the Polytechnic Campus. The GHc70.00 will cover the cost of the entrance examinations.

SUMMARY OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates applying for the Diploma in Tourism Management must have at least One (1) year working experience in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
University and Polytechnic Graduates and professional can apply for the Diploma in Website Design and Management.
Diploma in Sculpture: must have two core and two elective
NOTE: Successful candidates after the two years Diploma Programmes could apply for any of the HND programmes mentioned above relevant to their study.

- Science Laboratory Technician Part 1
SSSCE/WASSCE: Passes in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, physics and Biology
- Pre-HND in Statistics
Applicants must have five (5) passes in SSSCE/WASSCE including Mathematics and English.
E. TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATIONAL TRAINING (TVET) PROGRAMMES

Applicants with 2 years working experience in the Ceramics, Basketry, Bead Making, Leatherworks, Sculpture and Graphic Design are eligible to apply.

Applicants must possess Four (4) passes in GCE ‘O’ Level including English, SSSCE and WASSCE. NVTI Certificates in printing or any Art related discipline.
- Construction Technician Certificate (CTC I)
Applicant(s) should have General Course in Construction Certificate (GCC) or any five (5) passes including English and Mathematics at SSSCE/WASSCE.
- Electrical Engineering Technician (EET I )
Four (4) passes in General Engineering Examination: Electrical installation work certificate. Telecommunication Technician Part II, Five GCE ‘O’ Level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Technical Drawing, Applied Electricity or Basic Electronics OR 4 passes in SSCE or WASSCE including Mathematics and English.
- Motor Vehicle Technician (MVT I)
Passes in all three (3) component in Intermediate Automobile Engineering or passes in four (4) SSSCE or WASSCE including English and Mathematics or Elective Mathematics AND any two relevant elective subjects or any professional certificate.
- Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET I)
Passes in all (3) components in Intermediate Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Craft Practices), or passes in four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE including English and Mathematics or Elective Mathematics, or any two two (2) relevant elective subjects or twenty-six (26) or better.
- CTC II, EET II, MET II and MVT II
Applicant(s) must have CTC I, EET I, MET I and MVT I in relevant to their study
- Painting & Decoration Advanced (P&D)
Intermediate certificate in P&D OR 4 passes in WASSCE/SSCE including Mathematics and English
- Welding Advanced
Craft certificate in Welding OR 4 passes in WASSCE/SSCE including Mathematics and English language

Prospective applicants must have a minimum of SSSCE, WASSCE, Part I of GES Technical and Vocational Training certificates or its equivalent. H. ACCESS PROGRAMME FOR TECHNICAL/VOCATIONAL SCHOOL GRADUATES
The above-named programme has been designed to provide opportunity to students with Technical/Vocational educational background to pursue a one-year Access Course in English Language, Mathematics and Science.
i) Applicants should possess a minimum qualification of G.E.S. Technical Exams Unit’s Certificate /Intermediate or its equivalent.
I. ACCESS PROGRAMME FOR SSSCE/WASSCE SCIENCE GRADUATES
i) SSSCE/WASSCE candidates with three (3) subjects comprising at least one (1) core subject (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies) plus at least one (1) science elective subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Agriculture Science, Metal Works and any other Science related subject).
- The Final Examination for (H and I) the Access Programmes are conducted by the National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX) after which successful applicants shall proceed to enroll in the Higher National Diploma programmes.
NOTE: Successful candidates after the Access Programmes could apply for any of the HND programmes mentioned above.
J. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
All International Students should log on to www.admissions.tpoly.edu.gh to download the International Students’ application forms. The completed application forms must be accompanied by payment into Account Number 8751749986700 at any branch of STANDARD CHARTERED BANK. 2. Log on to the Online Admissions System with the E-Voucher Number and PIN
3. Follow steps on the Online Admissions system to complete your application
4. A printed copy of your completed online application must be enclosed in your envelope before posting together with photocopies of Certificates or Results slips.
5. Write the Envelope Number generated on your completion of the online application at the back of the envelope before posting.
