Who is a biochemist and what do they do? A biochemist studies and researches chemical sciences in relation to chemical processes taking place in living organisms. Biochemists may work in pharmaceutical companies, in biotechnology, food processing or agrochemicals. There are also clinical biochemists who usually work in health services.
