Who is a boiler operator and what do they do? A boiler operator operates and maintains the central heating equipment in a building or building complex.
What are the activities of the job? Operation, maintenance, cleaning or lubrication of the central heating system.
Where is it done and under what conditions? Mostly in the comparatively clean environment of the heating systems areas, but there will be shift work involved.
What tools/equipment do they use? Heat exchanger and similar equipment and all types of boilers. Hand tools.
What do you need to succeed? You need introductory training.
