The Ghana Immigration Service has opened application for the 2016 recruitment exercise. All qualified persons are to purchase the E-Voucher and apply following the appropriate steps.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
All candidates are to satisfy the following requirements:
(1) GHANA IMMIGRATION SERVICE GRADUATE ENTRY
- Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
- Must possess a first Degree not below a Second Class Lower in Social Sciences/Humanities from an accredited University.
- Must have completed his/her National Service.
- Must be computer Literate.
- Must be of a minimum age of 21 and not more than 28 years by 31 December, 2016.
- Must be physically and medically fit.
- Must be of good character.
- Must not be bonded.
- Must have a minimum height of 1.73metres (5ft 8inch) for Males and 1.63 metres (5ft 4inch) for Females.
(2) NON GRADUATE ENTRY (RECRUITS)
- Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
- Must hold SSSCE/W ASSCE Certificate with Five (5) credits including English Language and a pass in Mathematics.
- Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not be more than 26 years by 31 December, 2016.
- Must be physically and medically fit.
- Must be of good character
- Must not be bonded
- Must have a minimum height of 1.73metres (5ft 8inch) for Males and 1.63 metres (5ft 4inch) for Females.
HOW TO APPL Y
The first step in applying is to purchase an Electronic Voucher at a cost of One Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢100.00) from the various branches of the GCB Bank Ltd. across the country .
It is important to note that the Ghana Immigration Service no longer sell forms for enlistment or recruitment.
After the purchase of the E-voucher, the applicant must go to the online address httpss//:www.joingis.com.gh to fill in all the required information. Applicants must note that they must enter both the serial number of the voucher, and the pin code.
IMPORTANT NOTE
- Sales of E-Vouchers begin from 27 July, 2016, to 17th August, 2016.
- Completion of Application forms online begins on 29 July, 2016 and end on the 24th August, 2016 at 5PM.
- Candidates who meet the requirement will be shortlisted and informed about the next step.
NO MIDDLEMEN
The attention of the Ghana Immigration Service has been drawn to the fact that some unscrupulous persons are going round duping unsuspecting applicants with the promise of getting them enlisted into the Ghana Immigration Service. It must be noted that no individual or group of persons can help anybody since the process is as transparent as possible. Anybody who presents himself / herself as such must be reported immediately to the Police for his/her arrest and prosecution.
