Who is a landscape architect and what do they do? The landscape architect prepares architectural designs for gardens, parks, orchards, motorway verges, and similar areas.
What are the activities of the landscape architect? The designs cover various garden structures, decorative and utility objects, planting of shrub and flowers, as well as the overall concept of the garden or park. A landscape architect also selects suitable materials and plants, and submits requests for the necessary purchases. She/he calculates the cost of the designs and proposals and sometimes also oversees their implementation. In addition to preparation of complete designs, s/he also provides consultancy services to those who themselves start or renovate gardens, parks or orchards.
