Who is a printing technician and what do they do? A printing technician organises printing production, controls and evaluates the quality of printed products (books, magazines, leaflets, calendars, notebooks, etc.).
What are the activities of the printing technician job? He/she arranges flexible plans for printing production, monitors their fulfilment and the efficiency of the printing production. He/she determines the technological procedures for individual stages of printing production, which are mainly the processing of reproduction materials, printing and finishing treatments. He/she prepares technical documentation, ensures the availability of materials, energy and working tools. He/she is responsible for the functioning of printing machines and devices, for planning and ensuring the repairs, and for ordering spare parts.
