Who is a script writer and what do they do? The script writer writes scripts of films, stage plays, radio dramas, TV soap operas and other programs.
What are the activities of the script writer job? A script contains the description of characters, plot or individual scenes and, using direct speech, specifies what each character says and how s/he behaves. The script writer sometimes turns a literary work into a script, creates his/her own script or uses a brief synopsis, which s/he develops. His/her work does not end with the preparation of the script. Thereafter, s/he cooperates with the director and adjusts the script as required by the director.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In the writer’s own office, at studios, theatres and film studios. Work outside regular working hours is required.
