Who are they and what do they do? The wages clerk deals with wages and salaries for employees in their firm.
What are the activities of the job? Calculates how much should be paid, works out in-company wage or salary regulations, rules for the distribution of bonuses, to make sure that wage laws or regulations are adhered to, and to analyse the effectiveness of wage practices. The wages clerk prepares documents for solving possible disputes concerning labour law in the field of wages. He/she cooperates with personnel officers and accountants.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In normal offices.
What tools/equipment do they use? Computers, (especially spreadsheets) and other office equipment.
What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed secondary education, work methodically, have the ability to concentrate and good knowledge of arithmetic.
