The Ministry of Finance has released financial clearance to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department for the issuance of salaries for the 2016 newly posted teachers,EducationGhana can confirm.
The payment of salaries is expected to take effect from September 2016.In this regard, newly posted teachers are to see their respective district directors to arrange for their biometric registration if it hasn’t been done.
According to sources,the Ghana National Association of Teachers is planning to take up an issue with the Ghana Education Service concerning newly posted teachers who did not pass in all their courses for them to be paid their salaries.
Meanwhile ,the validation of teachers for the payment of their salary arrears is still on course as a result of the three months pay policy initiated by the NDC government.
