Who is a diver and what do they do? The diver is responsible for the searching for individuals and objects under water, carrying out checks of waterworks facilities or other large objects, sunken ships etc.
What are the activities of the diver? As well as the above, s/he may also do some special or other technical work under water, for example welding, blasting, assembling or disassembling certain facilities.
Where is it done and under what conditions? Under water with exposure to chill, hydrostatic pressure, water creatures and coming into contact with a variety of objects that are subject to investigation. There is a certain element of risk in some diving, and weather conditions may be bad at times.
What tools/equipment do they use? Breathing apparatus, wet suits, and other diving equipment. Where practical work is done under water this may mean using welding gear etc.
What do you need to succeed? You need introductory training or a diving course, a liking for water sports, perfect swimming abilities, physical fitness and manual dexterity.
