National Service Scheme Boss, The Public Services Commission has confirmed Mustapha Ussif as the substantive Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS).
His confirmation comes 15 months after President Akufo-Addo appointed him as the acting Executive Director of the Scheme.
The confirmation was done in accordance with the advice of the Governing Board of the Scheme and in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
Mustapha Ussif served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Yagaba-Kubori Constituency (Jan 2013- Jan 2017), starting his professional career as a trained teacher from the Bagabaga Teacher Training College and later the Anglia Ruskin University at Chelmsford in UK to study for a BA (Hons) in International Business Management.
He holds an MBA in finance with distinction from the University of Gloucesterhire in UK and also undertook an Executive Programme in Management Development at the University of Wales.
Ussif also served as a freelance consultant with Action Aid UK before moving to Parliament.
The Executive Director of the NSS has set wonderful standards in the agricultural sector of the scheme.
The paperless registration procedures and the Digitisation of Service Certificates, Entrepreneurship Module, Rig Community Water Project, Capacity Building Workshop are some of the initiatives introduced under his aegis, which have earned him accolades.
He was recently adjudged the Best Young CEO of the year at the 8th Ghana Entrepreneurs & Corporate Awards.
