Who is a rubber operator and what do they do? The rubber operator’s work consists of processing rubber products and intermediates and/or coating other material products containing rubber.
What are the activities of the rubber operator job? Work activities include: controlling manufacturing lines, mechanisms and equipment for the preparation and mixing of rubber mixtures, and also tasks connected with vulcanisation, press forming, machining and finishing processes in the manufacture of tyres, tyre covers, hoses, membranes, rubber floorings and other products of industrial and consumer goods made of rubber and asbestos materials, latex foam production, extrusion of hoses and cords, bicycle tube connections, rubber coating of drums, wheels, pipework, and vessels, incl. checking on the quality and dimensions of rubber and related products.
Where is it done and under what conditions? This work is done in a factory environment under demanding conditions with high temperatures, noise, dust and the presence of chemical substances.
What tools/equipment do they use? The tools and equipment most commonly used are production lines, pressing machines and other plant & machinery usual in rubber processing plants.
