Who is a sound effects technician and what do they do? The sound effects technician creates noises and sound effects for films and other programs in accordance with the script and the director’s intentions.
What are the activities of the job? Produces artificial sounds, synchronizes them with the production being presented, to create the impression of actions or events especially on radio or TV broadcasts. May use recorded sounds or create them electronically.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In studios, film studios and outdoors. Work outside regular working hours may be required.
What tools/equipment do they use? Various types of audio and electronic equipment.
What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed the relevant vocational training course, good hearing, ability to concentrate.
