Where is it done and under what conditions? In the warehouses of industrial or commercial organisations; the stored goods can be a wide variety of products or materials. In some cases the working environment may present some problems, e.g. in the case of chemicals, or the dust from building construction materials etc.
What tools/equipment do the storekeeper use? Fork-lift trucks, conveyor belts, battery-powered trucks, weighbridges, scales, ramps, crates, pallets, work benches, automated and computer equipment.
What do you need to succeed? You need vocational training, possibly from external courses or by training on the job in the enterprise, accuracy, arithmetical skills and a good memory.
