Master of Technology (M-Tech)
PROGRAMME DURATION
The M-Tech in Graphic Design shall be for two (2) years.
SUMMARY OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- B-TECH (Printing, Graphic Design or related Visual/Creative Art) must possess a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) with one (1) year post qualification working experience
- BA Publishing Studies (Printing or Design and illustration option, with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) with one (1) year post qualification working experience
- BA Communication Design/ BFA/ BA Graphic Design with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) with one (1) year post qualification working experience
- Holders of equivalent first degree qualifications in related Visual/Creative Art from a recognized academic or professional institutions.

Requirements are the same for HND Regular
TWO-YEAR DIPLOMA (EVENING SCHOOL) FOR WORKERS IN TOURISM INDUSTRY
Candidates must:
a. have at least four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes or four (4) G.C.E ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
b. have at least three years working experience in Tourism industry and
pass a written examination and interview.
Pre-HND Access Programmes
The Final Examination will be conducted by the National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX) after which successful applicants shall proceed to enroll in the Higher National Diploma programme. For a candidate to qualify to be admitted to the HND programme he/she must obtain a minimum pass of 50% in each of the three (3) subjects namely: English Language, Mathematics and Science.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should posses a minimum qualification of Intermediate or its equivalent.
Equivalence of SSSCE Grade to WASSCE Grades
Takoradi Polytechnic uses the new grading system of WASSCE for the selection of candidates and with this system an aggregate of 36 is the minimum entry requirement for all programmes. The following table shows this new grading system and the SSSCE equivalent grades.
