2016/2017 FIRST SEMESTER REGISTRATION

All students (All programmes and Sessions) and the general public are to take note of the following arrangements for the 2016/2017 First Semester Registration and comply accordingly:
SCHEDULE FOR REGISTRATION

  1. All Students (Morning/Evening)
  2. Re-opening – 22nd August, 2016
  3. Normal Registration – 22nd August to 16th Sept., 2016
  4. Lectures begin (All Programmes) – 5th September, 2016
  5. Late Registration (with penalty) – 19th -25th September, 2016    
  1. Weekend Session
  2. Re-opening – 26th August, 2016
  3. Registration – 26th August – 18th Sept, 2016
  4. Lectures begin (All Programmes) – 9th September, 2016
  5. Late Registration (with penalty) – 19th -25th September, 2016

TIME:  MORNING/EVENING SESSIONS (DAY TIME) – 9:30 am to 4:00 pm each day

EVENING SESSION (EVENING TIME: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays) – 5:00pm to 8:00pm

VENUE:  COMPUTER SCIENCE BLOCK (LAB III) FIRST FLOOR        

WEEKEND SESSION (SATURDAYS ONLY) –  9:00am to 2:00pm each day

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Students are supposed to pay the appropriate fees to enable them register.
  • Students who pay the approved fees/charges can only register after twenty-four (24) hours.
  • In all cases students should indicate their names, programmes and correct index numbers.
  1. STEPS FOR REGISTRATION

 Step 1: Payment of School Fees

  1. Students are to pay their fees for the 2016/2017 academic year at any branch of the following banks:
  • Agriculture Development Bank
  • Ghana Commercial Bank
  • HFC Bank
  • Unibank
  • Universal Merchant Bank
  • United Bank of Africa using the Trans-flow System.
  1. Students who are paying fees are expected to quote correctly their Index Numbers on all the pay-in-slips.

Step 2: Academic Course Registration

  1. FRESH STUDENTS

First year students are to report at the various Registration Centres for their registration.

  1. CONTINUING STUDENTS
  • All students are to Enter their full index number
  • Students are required to Register for the required courses for the Semester by adding the correct courses for the First Semester (please check and be sure of the courses before registration).
  • Confirm your registration after adding the correct courses.
  • Print a copy of your registration confirmation page. (NB: You can’t print without confirming your registration)
  • Logout from the system after registration.
  • Students will run two (2) copies of their registration form and submit same to their respective departments. Keep the original as proof of Registration.

    ALL HND ENGINEERING PROGRAMMES, CTC, MET, MVT, EET, DBS & PRE-HNDs Engineering, HND Building Technology and Environmental Management and Technology, HND
    Medical Laboratory and Biomedical, HND Food Technology. 
  • THIN CLIENT LAB

    Evening, Weekend & B-Tech students.

Note:

Students who may fail to register at the close of the specified dates allowed for registration shall lose their students status and shall be withdrawn (Article 20.4 of the Koforidua Polytechnic Student Hand Book)
Students are to note that the rate for penalty for late registration is GH¢50.00 plus GH¢10.00 for each day in default up to five days. (Ref: Article 20.3 on page 25 of the Students’ Handbook).
No student may be registered after the 25th September, 2016 late registration deadline (for all students Morning/Evening and Weekend Sessions).
