Harrison Afful
FIFA has asked the Tunisian Football Federation to automatically deduct six points from the accumulated points of Espérance If they fail to pay Harrison Afful’s money by June 26.
A credible source in Tunisia say, FIFA further authorised that Espérance be automatically relegated to the Tunisian lower tier should the debt persist after the points deduction.
This embarrassing development came after the Tunis club failed three previous deadlines to pay Afful hundreds of thousands of dollars it owe him.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee also asked the club to pay fines in the tens of thousands in Swiss francs to FIFA.
Ghana international footballer Afful was a star player in the six years he stayed at the club.
He filled a case months ago at FIFA and won the claims on owed salaries and bonuses.
