KUMASI POLYTECHNIC 2016/2017 JANUARY ADMISSIONS NOW OPEN

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission to any of the following programmes for the Kumasi Polytechnic 2016/2017 January admission.

(A) B.TECH DEGREE PROGRAMMES

  1.     Bachelor of Technology in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (two-year top-up)
  2.     Bachelor of Technology in Accounting with Computing (one and half years top-up)
  3.     Bachelor of Technology in Procurement Management (two-years top-up)
  4.     Bachelor of Technology in Marketing (one-and half years top-up)
  5.     Bachelor of Technology in Applied Statistics (one and half years top-up)

Entry Requirements for B.Tech Degree Programmes
I) Bachelor of Technology in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (two-year top-up: weekend options)

Candidates must have HND (First Class or Second Class Upper Division) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years working experience.

Second Class Lower Division holders will have to attend an interview.

II) Bachelor of Technology in Accounting with Computing (one and half year top-up: weekend options)

  1.     Holders of HND Accountancy/Accounting with Computing Certificate with a minimum of two (2) years working experience. OR
  2.     ACCA and ICA holders with passes in six (6) or more subjects. OR
  3.     First Degree holders from other fields or discipline may apply

III) Bachelor of Technology in Procurement Management: (two year topup: Weekend Options)

  1.     Holders of HND Purchasing & Supply (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification working experience.
  2.     Applicants with Diploma in Procurement & Supply from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS UK) qualification may apply.
  3.     HND Graduates from other fields or disciplines with a qualification not lower than a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division with at least five (5) years working experience in procurement related fields.
  4.     First Degree Graduates from other fields or discipline may apply.
  5.     Holders of HND Estate Management (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification working experience.
  6.     Applicants with Lower Class would be required to attend an interview

 
IV) Bachelor of Technology in Marketing (one and half years top-up)
a) Holders of HND Purchasing & Supply (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification working experience
 
V) Bachelor of Technology in Applied Statistics (one and half years top-up: Weekend Option)
a) Holders of HND Purchasing & Supply (2nd Class Lower or better) or its equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification working experience
 

(B) PART-TIME PROGRAMMES

  1. Diploma in Computerised Accounting (DCA) (2 year-programme: evening)
  2. Diploma in Public Relations (2 year-programme: evening)
  3. Diploma in Electronic Marketing (2 year-programme: evening)
  4. Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) (2 year -programme: evening)
  5. Diploma in Procurement & Materials Management (2 year-programme: evening)
  6. Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (2 year- programme: evening)
  7. Diploma in Library information Science(2 year-programme: evening)

 
Entry Requirements for Diploma Programmes WASSCE/SSSCE
a. Four passes including Mathematics and English language.

Diploma Programmes Applicants            –           GH  ¢130.00

Payment for the Application should be by Bank Draft payable to the Vice-Chancellor,Kumasi Technical University.

They are also required to download and print completed online application form and attach two (2) passport pictures, two (2) photocopies of relevant documents/certificates and payment voucher to be submitted to the address below.
