The studios of Asempa FM became heated when National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, Lawyer Henry Kokofu met to discuss the issue of the award of a Ford Expedition ‘gift’ to President Mahama.

The whole episode started when Sam George described the raging issue as a ‘silly matter’ which does not deserve attention.

According to Sam George, the issue has become a subject of public discussion ‘because it is a failed attempt at equalization by the NPP which was accused of being corrupt by its suspended chairman, Paul Afoko’.

This description did not go down well with the NPP who demanded that Sam George withdraws the use of the word ‘silly’ as it was an insult to the entire panel.

To him, Sam George was in a way referring to them as ‘fools’ for spending precious time to discuss a ‘silly matter’.

But Sam George would have none of that leading to the trading of unprintable words between him and the MP who was threatening to boycott the show if Sam George would not be made to withdraw the description.
