ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY
Admission is open to:
(a)        A Four Year Degree Programme   

  1. SSSCE holders with credit passes (A-D) in English LanguageMathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies plus credit passes (A-D) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study with an aggregate score of 24 or better.
  2. WASSCE holders with credit passes (A1-C6in English LanguageMathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies plus credit passes (A1-C6in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study with an aggregate score of 36 or better.
  3. ADVANCED LEVEL holders with credit in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the subjects relevant to the programme of study.
  4. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA HOLDERS in a related course with at least 2nd Class Lower Division. In addition, applicants must have acquired at least Two (2) years post HND working experience.
  5. UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA HOLDERS in a related course with at least a In addition applicants must have acquired at least Two (2) years post Diploma working experience.
  6. MATURE STUDENTS. The applicant must have attained at least, the age of 25 years at the time of application, and show proof of the age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of the date of birth which must be confirmed on the WASSCE Certificate (if applicant is WASSCE holder). In addition, applicants must pass a Mature Applicants’ Entrance Examination conducted by the University in English Language, Mathematics and Aptitude Test. (The Entrance Examination would be held on Saturday, August 04, 2018.)
  7. FOREIGN APPLICANTS who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalences from an accredited/recognized institution.
  8. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Other qualifications acceptable for consideration include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, American Grade 13 Examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels).
 
(b)     A Two Year Diploma Programme

  1. SSSCE holders with passes (A-E) in all subjects, including English LanguageMathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies plus 3 passes (A-E) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study.
  2. WASSCE holders with passes (A1-E8in English LanguageMathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies plus passes (A1-E8in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study.

Candidates with Science, Business, General Arts, Visual Art, Home Economics and General Agriculture background can apply for the BSc Hospitality Management and BSc Entrepreneurship and Resource Management programmes.

HOW TO COMPLETE THE ADMISSION PROCESS
Steps to Complete the Online Application Form
All applicants are to complete the on-line application registration by using the Voucher Slip Number. It is advisable to use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox Web Browsers when filling the Online Application Form. Also applicants are to use personal active e-mail address for the process.
Step 1

  1. Purchase of Voucher Slip
  2. Get a valid and active e-mail address
  3. Then key in the following
  • Application Number on the Voucher Slip
  • Your full name as appear on your certificate or results slip
  • E-mail (use your personal active e-mail which you can access it)
  • Your Mobile Phone Number

Then click on save. You will receive an e-mail message. (Please check your spam if the message is not received in you inbox of your e-mail.
Step 2

  1. Log into your e-mail and access your username and password
  2. Follow the link in your e-mail to login to the UENR ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM. You will be required to reset your password on your first login.
  3. Login again with your new PIN
  4. Click on new application
  5. Fill the new Application Form
  6. After submitting, print your details. The details could be printed later by logging in to your application portal (using your new PIN) through  the link provided in your  e-mail.

Completed Application Form
A completed APPLICATION FORM should be DOWNLOADED and PRINTED and sent to the POST OFFICE together with photocopies of certificates or results slips and in the case of Mature Applicants, birth certificates and any other relevant document(s) should also be attached and sent to the address below

FEE PAYING APPLICANTS
Applicants are to note that a Fee-Paying Facility can be accessed when applicant does not meet the Competitive Requirements and CUT-OFF Points but satisfy Minimum Entry Requirements of Aggregate 24/36 or better. Applicants who wish to take advantage of this Facility should indicate when filling their Application Forms.
ACCOMMODATION
Prospective students who may wish to be considered for hostel accommodation are to indicate the request on their Application Form. Such students would pay the appropriate Residential Facility User Fees.
