UHAS 2015/2016 admissions are out!

2015 / 2016 ACADEMIC YEAR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
REGULAR
Local Applicants
Science Students – WASSCE/SSSCE : Passes (A1-C6 / A-D) respectively in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects:
English
Core Mathematics
Integrated Science
In addition, applicants must have obtained three (3) credits in the following Elective Subjects:
Chemistry, Physics and Biology / Elective Mathematics.
Non-Science Students – WASSCE/SSSCE may apply for admission into the School of Nursing and Midwifery or School of Public Health with the following qualifications :
Passes (A1-B3 / A-C) respectively in Integrated Science in addition to credit passes comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
TOP-UP
To enter the Top-Up Programme, candidates must have:
Obtained a diploma from a Ministry of Health training institution or institutions whose diplomas are recognised by the University
Professional Certificate Holders in SRN and Public health Nursing (PHN)
Obtained a Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 2.50 or better in the Diploma Programme.
ACCESS COURSE
A holder of a Certificate from any Ministry of Health Training School and other accredited Health Training Institutions who has practised for not less than three (3) years.
A holder of Community Health Nursing or HATS Certificate (EN) from any Ministry of Health Training School who has practised for not less than three(3) years.
A holder of Midwifery certificate Post – CHN and Post – EN, Post HAC Midwifery from any Ministry of Health Training School who has practised for not less than three (3) years.
