UHAS 2018/2019 Undergraduate Admission Forms | WASSCE/SSSCE/A-Level/Mature Applicants

It is announced for the information of prospective Applicants (as specified above) and the general public that E-vouchers for UHAS 2018/2019 Undergraduate Admission Forms for programmes for the 2018/2019 Academic Year will start selling from November, 2017. The 2018/2019 Academic Year is expected to commence in August, 2018.
FEE PAYING: Applicants who could not make the cut off points as may be determined at the time of admission may be considered for FEE PAYING.
PROSPECTIVE WASSCE APPLICANTS WHO HAVE THEIR EXAMINATION RESULTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION AND PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS WHO WILL BE WRITING WASSCE IN MAY/JUNE, 2018 ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.
WASSCE / SSSCE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PROGRAMMES
Passes (A1-C6 / A-D) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies (input all the four core subjects when applying) in addition to three elective subjects applicable to the programme of choice
(Applicants should note that they are expected to have at least C6/D in Social Studies. However, the core subjectsconsidered for calculating their aggregates are English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science)
SCHOOL OF PHARMACY (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) (6 years)

Entry Requirements:
Three categories of applicants will be admitted to pursue the programme. They are:
i. WASSCE/ SSSCE APPLICANTS
Passes (A1-C6 / A-D) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Sciences and Social Studies in addition to three elective subjects applicable to the programme of choice.
(Applicants should note that they are expected to have at least C6/D in Social Studies. However, the core subjectsconsidered for calculating their aggregates are English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science)
ii. A – LEVEL APPLICANTS
Candidates must have the General Certificate of Education at Ordinary Level in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics, in addition to: Chemistry, Physics and Biology; or General Science; additionally, General Science and any other subjects plus the General Certificate of Education at Advanced Level or its equivalent in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
iii. MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must have obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Dispensing Technology/ Pharmacy Technician Course or its equivalent from a recognized institution with at least three (3) years relevant working experience.
OR
Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application forms AND must have five (5) credits at O-level including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Short-listed applicants must pass an interview.
SCHOOL OF BASIC AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS

  • BSc. Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Entry Requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE OR ITS EQUIVALENT
English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus Chemistry, Physics, Biology / Elective Mathematics.
(Applicants should note that they are expected to have at least C6/D in Social Studies. However, the core subjectsconsidered for calculating their aggregates are English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science)
SCHOOL OF MEDICINE (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS

  • Medical Degree (MB ChB) (6 years)
  • Bachelor of Physician Assistantship (Clinical)

Entry Requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE OR ITS EQUIVALENT
English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus Chemistry, Physics, Biology / Elective Mathematics
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Midwifery
  • Bachelor of Public Health Nursing

Entry Requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE OR ITS EQUIVALENT
English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus any three (3) of the following: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Government, History, Christian Religious Studies or Islamic Religious Studies, Literature-in-English, French, General Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Food and Nutrition and Management in Living.

SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS

  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science
  • Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy
  • Bachelor of Dietetics
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Entry Requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE OR ITS EQUIVALENT
English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus Chemistry, Physics, Biology / Elective Mathematics.
Bachelor of Dietetics applicants must have offered: English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus any three (3) of the following: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Food and Nutrition, Management in Living, General Agriculture, Economics and Animal Husbandry

SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH (REGULAR) – HOHOE CAMPUS

  •  Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) with the following options:

Entry Requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE OR ITS EQUIVALENT
English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus any three (3) of the following: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Management in Living, General Knowledge in Arts, Picture Making, Graphics, Food and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Literature-In-English, CRS (Other Religious Studies), Ghanaian Languages, French, Economics, Government, History, Elective Mathematics, Crop and Soil Science, Animal Husbandry and Horticulture.
