The West African Examinations Council has released a statement indicating a new structure of the English Paper in relation to the newly introduced literature book ‘The Cockcrow’
According to WAEC,the candidates of the the 2017 examination will be examined on the following selected texts from the Cockcrow.
- Debbie, Sandy and Pepe by Merril Corney
- The Old Man and His Children by Retold by Jean Watson
- Tell my Son to hold on to his Gun by. Kaakyire Akosomo Nyatakyi
- The dilemma of a Ghost by. Ama Ata Aidoo
WAEC emphasized that the selected texts were for 2017 only,and urged pupils to study the whole anthology for BECE 2018 onwards.
