Enactus Ghana set to hold 2015 National Competition

Enactus Ghana is set to hold the 2015 National Competition at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel from July 22 to July 23, 2015.

This year, organizers of the competition has promised patrons to experience an exciting and educative national competition.

Enactus is an international organization that brings together diverse network of students, academic and business leaders who share the vision of creating a better and more sustainable world through the positive power of business.

Enactus is committed to using the power of entrepreneurial actions to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

Formally known as SIFE, Enactus is present in 36 countries; it was established in the year 1975 in the USA and was introduced to three universities in Ghana in the year 2000. Currently, it is present in twenty four tertiary institutions.

As part of measures to empower the youth of this country, Enactus organizes National Competitions, seminars, training session and many others.

Enactus National exposition has been a noticeable reason for tertiary students and the corporate community to single out their calendars to attend this wonderful event. The National Exposition gives the students a platform to showcase the projects they have embarked upon over a period of time to panel of judges who are made up of CEOs, Managers and Entrepreneurs. The experience is elevated with its wonderful participation, where thousands of participants including online audience experience this ceremony of entrepreneurial minds.

The competition has always remained prestigious with the kind of personalities invited to judge the projects of the teams participating.

Invitation of these judges are extended to Ghana’s Club 100 executives, to form the quorum to scrutinize the outputs of the projects these students intends to use to make impacts on people, planets and generate profits.

In this year’s competition, Ford in partnership with Enactus Ghana will launch the Ford C3 Partnership Project and the winner for this project would be announced at the national competition.

Last year, University of Ghana won and represented Ghana at the World cup which was held in China.

It was sponsored by KPMG, Stanbic Bank, Ecobank, Chinese Government, IPMC, ACCA, Enterprise Group, YCI, Hershey, PwC and some Enactus Alumni. Enactus Ghana hopes to get more sponsors to support the good work it is doing to help develop the Youth of this country.

Some dignitaries who will be attending this year’s competition are three Diplomats, Government officials, CEOs and Managers of companies, Heads of tertiary institutions and many more.
